Welcome to the Chania City Running Tour! Get ready to lace up your running shoes and embark on a running adventure through the captivating city of Chania and surrounding beaches. This tour combines the best of both worlds – a delightful city run and a refreshing beach experience.

The route
Our meeting point is Koum Kapi, where the lively atmosphere sets the tone for our journey. As we start running, we’ll navigate through the enchanting streets, passing by the vibrant harbor and the iconic lighthouse. The historical charm of Chania’s architecture will surround us, providing a picturesque backdrop for our adventure.

Continuing along the coastline, we’ll make our way to Nea Chora, the nearest organized beach to Chania. If you’re up for it, we can indulge in some beach running to invigorate our spirits and feel the sea breeze in our hair.

As we progress, our route will lead us to the running trails in the headlands of Chrysi Akti and Agia Apostoli. Here, a breathtaking panorama awaits us, showcasing the White Mountains as they majestically frame the stunning beaches. Take a moment to capture the beauty with your camera or simply soak in the serene atmosphere.

Our pace
Throughout the tour, we maintain a relaxed pace, allowing ample opportunities to stop and capture photos or simply take in the stunning scenery. You’ll also have the chance to engage with your fellow runners and share the joy of exploration.

What’s included
This approximately 8 mile (12 kilometer) route is predominantly flat, taking us along scenic roads with the option of small segments of trail and beach running with the sea on one side and the captivating Chania architecture on the other. It’s a fantastic opportunity to orient yourself with the city and plan future running adventures during your holiday.

Afterwards we can enjoy a coffee or juice (included in the price) in one of my favourite seaside cafes
