Departing from Vlychada port and gliding along the coast, we reach the Red Beach of Akrotiri, one of only three red beaches in the world, distinguished by its red cliffs formed from soil rich in volcanic minerals. Our journey continues towards the inaccessible-by-land White Beach, marking our initial swimming and snorkeling halt. We then coast towards the Venetian Lighthouse, passing the Indian Rocks adjacent to the island's iconic black cliffs. As we enter the Caldera of Santorini, the breathtaking vistas are bound to leave you speechless. Circling the Volcano's crater for a panoramic view, we make our way to the Hot Springs for a dip in the sulfuric waters. Relish the Aegean breeze, a glass of wine, and the company of someone special, all set against the surreal backdrop of Santorini.
Excursion Details
The first phase of the excursion includes cruising by the Red beach and the White beach. Both offer great opportunities for stunning pictures. After a brief photo-shoot there, we will continue to the Mesa Pigadia beach, where will have our first opportunity to dive into the Aegean Sea. We will have some 20 min. to swim at Mesa Pigadia.
As we depart from Mesa Pigadia we cruise by Mavro Vouno (Black Mountain) and the Akrotiri lighthouse. By then we will have entered Santorini’s famous Caldera, situated at the heart of the island complex that makes up Santorini.
We will make our way to the Hot Springs which is the 2nd stop for swimming, again for 20 minutes, after which we will find a sheltered area (always adapting to weather conditions) where are you will have yet another opportunity for swimming, and we will get some time to prepare your diner.
After the springs and after we have enjoyed our meal on board, we will open the sails (if weather permits it) and we will go to the South-West part of Santorini where we can enjoy the amazing sunset on board.
