South trip is an interesting trip while you see a lot of villages like Agia Galini, Matala and Spili. Explore the Minoan Palace of Phaistos. The Palace of Phaistos is one of the most important remains of Europe’s oldest civilisation, the Minoans.
What makes Agia Galini unique is the amphitheatrical layout of its houses on the hill, offering a wonderful view of the harbour and the Bay of Messara. The view of the village from the harbour is equally lovely, especially at dusk and at night.
